We stayed for my partners 40th birthday, we booked the room about 6 weeks prior to going. the room cost us £205 for the two nights, which isn't too bad for a central city hotel.
The standard of the rooms is very good, if you have to be very fussy, the detail in the finish is not brilliant, but you'll not really notice this.
We asked for a room high up, we got room 1010 but 1009 or 1008 would give you the same great view of the city, the rooms have huge windows that have brilliant view across the city to the hills.
If I have any negative comments about the hotel its that it lacks any atmosphere, its practically lifeless, the staff are polite but there is no soul in the place.
Its an excellent location, at the top of the Ramblas and over the road from the excellent airport bus that costs 3.75 euro's. its a very good place to base yourself if all you want is a nice room in a super location, we however look for a bit more.
